Gaudí’s Trencadís is a team building workshop that challenges teams to plan and complete together a design out of broken, colorful tiles: the Modernist architect Antoni Gaudí developed this decorative technique, called Trencadís. Father of some of the most iconic buildings of our city, Gaudí’s Trencadís is our team activity to commemorate his talent and creativity. Besides, this workshop has an important social component: the wooden bases where the art pieces lies are built by the youngsters of Fundació Grup Xamfrà, a school for youngsters with learning difficulties in Barcelona.
After a short general briefing, we divided the 90 participants into different teams. Located each one in one table, teams first drew the design and then filled it with the color tiles available, carefully breaking them following the security instructions to give each one the right shape. After the different creation phases, always supported by our staff, the art pieces were exposed and enjoyed by the rest of the team members, that also had some beers to celebrate the success of this team achievement.
